As India was celebrating its 77th Independence Day, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai on Tuesday night was illuminated in the colors of the Indian flag (tiranga) to glorify the country. The skyscraper – known as the tallest building in the world – often displays the flags of friendly countries on their national day or Independence Day.
In a video shared by the ANI news agency, which is going viral on social media, the building flies the Indian flag in the background of the Indian national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’.
As the video continues, the building displays photos of Mahatma Gandhi and an inscription that reads: “Happy 77th Independence Day of Mother India. Long live the friendship between India and UAE. Harghar Tiranga. Jai Hind.”
Meanwhile, the King of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum sent greetings to India on Independence Day.
“As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, I extend my congratulations to the leadership and people of this great nation. On this joyful occasion, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to building a future of shared prosperity and growth, taking our partnership to new heights and exploring new horizons of political and economic relations. economy and culture. Happy Independence Day, Swatantrata Diwas!,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Burj Khalifa lit up with three Indian colors last month
Exactly a month ago, the Burj Khalifa was lit up with the tricolor flag of India on July 15 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Abu Dhabi. In one video, the skyscraper can be seen lit up with the colors of the Indian flag, followed by an image of Prime Minister Modi. The video ends with a message that reads: “Welcome Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
