The iconic Burj Khalifa is illuminated in hues of tricolor on Tuesday for India’s 77th Independence Day.
In addition to the tricolor flag, the tallest building in the world displays the quotes “Happy Independence Day to Mother India” and “Long live the United Arab Emirates Friendship of India”.
It also displays the image of Mahatma Gandhi along with the quotes ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Jai Hind’.

Meanwhile, the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum sent his wishes to India on Independence Day on Twitter.
“As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, I extend my congratulations to the leadership and people of this great nation.
