Chandrayaan-3 Live Update: Vikram lander and Pragyan rover to explore the Moon’s surface. Details here
• Lander Vikram: The payload here is Chandra’s Surface Thermal Physics Experiment (ChaSTE) to measure temperature and thermal conductivity. Another payload, the Lunar Seismic Activity Gauge (ILSA), will measure seismic activity around the landing site. The Langmuir (LP) probe will estimate plasma density and changes. A NASA Passive Laser Back Reflector Array will be used for lunar laser studies.
• Rover Pragyan: The payload here is an Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) and a Laser Induced Decomposition Spectrometer (LIBS) to identify elements in the vicinity of the landing pad.
