Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) [India]August 21 (ANI): Union Home Secretary Amit Shah urged people in Uttar Pradesh to vote for BJP for all 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the next 2024 Lok Sabha polls, which he said would be a fitting tribute to the late party chief Kalyan Singh.
Speaking at a gathering in Aligarh on the second anniversary of Kalyan Singh’s death, a prominent OBC leader and state Premier said: “Let the lotus (BJP electoral symbol) bloom on all all 80 seats in UP by 2024, this will be a real tribute to Babuji.”
BJP is holding ‘Hindu Gaurav Diwas’ in Aligarh to show respect to the former chief minister whose birthplace is Aligarh and who passed away on 21st August in Lucknow in 2021.
Kalyan Singh was the minister during the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992.
The Union minister lashed out at the previous Parliamentary regime of the state for delaying and redirecting the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya since Independence. However, he said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not delay the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of the temple.
Shah added, “Today I have come to pay my respects to a senior leader of the BJP, a devotee of Ram, a pioneer in defending the interests of the backward people.”
Shah said that the late leader told him that he had achieved his life goal on the day the foundation stone of the Ram Temple was laid.
“I was in hospital due to Corona that day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Shri Ram Mandir. That day I called Babu Ji, and he told me that the goal of life is he is done,” the union minister said in a statement. His address.
“Kalyan Singh ‘Babuji’ emphasized three goals. The first is to accelerate the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement, the second is the welfare of the poor, and the third is the welfare of the backward society without affecting the welfare of the poor. social harmony,” said Shah.

Praising Prime Minister Modi’s efforts, the union minister said: “Today, we are delighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, at the beginning of 2024, we will see Lord Ram sitting in the throne. your great temple after 550 years.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak and head of BJP state unit Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary were present on the occasion.
