The wait is finally over!
Fan of Robert Jordan’s bestseller and the Prime Video adaptation gathered at the Charlotte Street Hotel in Soho for an exclusive screening, held in partnership with Pilot TV and Empire magazines, of the first two episodes of the series. Wheel of Time The second season is highly anticipated.
I came to the screening last night eager to return to the magical world of the film, meeting Aes Sedai – a group of powerful women with magical powers – our five friends from Two Rivers and my favorite character in the entire series Lan Mandragoran is played by Daniel Henney.
Right before the show started, I joined other avid fans in Wheel of Time cosplay, excited to be photographed by a professional photographer. There’s a clothes rack filled with fantasy outfits inspired by the series like colorful capes, elegant dresses, intricate jewelry, and even an amazing collection of medieval weapons! After much deliberation, I picked out a lovely emerald green cape and a giant sword – looking like a character straight out of the enchanted world of Robert Jordan.

After taking the photo, I headed to the screening room and sat down on the cozy orange sofa, ready to immerse myself in the magical world of the series once more. The chairs are accompanied by refreshments and a tote bag containing the second book in Wheel of Time a set of books and a bag of salted caramel popcorn – you’re sure to see me walking around London with my tote bag in the future.

The atmosphere was exhilarating as I spoke briefly to the fans beside me and after a warm welcome from the organizers, it was time to watch the show and an accompanying exclusive trailer shows us what will happen during the new season.
Season two begins shortly after the events of the first with five friends, Rand al’Thor, Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), Egwene al’Vere (Madeleine Madden), Perrin Aybara (Marcus Rutherford), Nynaeve al ‘ Meara (Zoe Robins) and Matrim Cauthon (Dónal Finn) live scattered across the world and struggle to adapt to the new reality. The two episodes also introduced new characters: the first Elayne Trakand (Ceara Coveney), Andor’s heiress, who joined Egwene and Nynaeve in training at the White Tower to become Aes Sedai. We also get a glimpse of High Lady Suroth (Karima McAdams), a majestic Seanchan noblewoman from a faraway land.

The first two episodes alone are filled with epic action sequences, stunning new locations, breathtaking costumes, and encounters with new and old foes like Trollocs and Fades. If that’s what a few episodes deliver then the rest of the series is sure to be another hit!
The screening ended with a lively Q&A session hosted by Empire Editor-in-Chief James Dyer and Helen O’Hara. Their passion for the show really shines as they join the audience in speculating about what will happen in the following episodes and what they’ve loved so far.

Main video Wheel of Time is perfect for both book fans and newcomers to the show. is now available to watch on Prime Video. I’ll be revisiting my favorite episodes to review before the September 1 premiere.
