Stock market today: Goldman Sachs’ GQG Partners International Opportunity Fund has acquired a new stake in Adani Power Ltd. According to information obtained on the Indian stock exchanges, the investor from the United States bought 10,30,30,127 shares of Adani Power paid for $279.15 pieces. This means, the fund Goldman Sachs has invested $28,76,08,59,952.05 or $2,876 cores in Adani Power.
After this stock market news broke, Adani Power stock saw strong buying interest by the bulls on Dalal Street. Adani Power stock price opened higher today and continued to hit an intraday high of $Level 288.50 per person on NSE, recording a gain of more than 3% on the day in early morning trades on Thursday.
Adani Power Latest Bulk Transaction Details
According to the bulk transaction details shared by Adani Power with Indian exchanges, Goldman Sachs Partner International Opportunity Fund GQG executed this single buyer transaction on 16th Jan. August 2023. The value of a handshake $2,876 crore was done through a big deal.
Several other large transactions took place on August 16, 2023 for shares of Adani Power. According to the bulk trading information available on the BSE website, another U.S.-based investor GQG Partners Bought Emerging Markets Fund purchased 490,30,009 paid Adani Power shares. $279.15 per share, which means that the US-based investor pumped $13,68,67,27,012.35 or about $1,368 crore in this Adani group company.
However, some profit taking also took place on Adani Power stock on August 16, 2023 i.e. on Wednesday. Afro Asian Trade and Investments Ltd sells 26,54,85,675 shares of Adani Power at $279.18 per share. This means that institutional investors have sold off their worth of Adani Power shares $74,11,82,90,746.5 or about $7,412 cores.
