CHANDIGARH: Premier Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar has approved several important development projects to accelerate the development of Gurugram city.
The minister chaired the 12th Gurugram Urban Development Authority (GMDA) meeting on Saturday evening
in Gurugram.
Transport Minister Haryana Mool Chand Sharma, Local Urban Authority Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, Badshahpur MLA Rakesh Daulatabad and other senior officers were also present at the meeting. Chief Secretary Haryana Sanjeev Kaushal also attended the meeting via videoconference. GMDA CEO PC Meena presented the proposed projects to be undertaken by GMDA.
The annual budget of Rs 2574.40 crore has been approved by the GMDA Minister after extensive discussions. The budget for 2023-24 includes Rs 570.06 crore for infrastructure development (including roads, water supply, drainage and stormwater management), Rs 1151.77 crore for capital projects . In addition, Rs 36 billion for urban environment initiatives and provision of Rs 538 crore for operation and maintenance.
