More than 88 million selfies of people across the country with the national flag were uploaded to the central government’s Har Ghar Tiranga website until 12 noon on Tuesday in a three-day campaign launched since as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new clear call came on Sunday.

The homepage of the Har Ghar Tiranga website shows an option to upload selfies with the flag and mentions that 8,81,21,591 (88 million) selfies with the tricolor flag were uploaded until 12 noon on Monday. On the occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 75th anniversary of India’s independence, Prime Minister Modi launched ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign on 22nd July last year. As part of various events planned for the whole week, union ministers took part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ bicycle rally at Pragati Maidan area in Delhi on Friday. The rally, which is the second version of the campaign, was flagged by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and also conducted on Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, India Gate, along with the Pragati Maidan tunnel.
In a video previously shared by ANI, Kishan Reddy is seen holding the wheel and riding a bicycle, while Anurag Thakur sits in the back holding an Indian flag in his hand. Chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were heard during the protest. Union minister Shobha Karandlaje, who is from Karnataka, was also seen joining the rally by bicycle.
Meanwhile, Independence Day was celebrated across the country with the Prime Minister hoisting the national flag at the Red Fort on Tuesday morning in the presence of many dignitaries, Ministers and students among others. .
