Guardiola’s Man City ended the long wait for the Champions League by beating Inter Milan 1-0 in the climactic clash of Europe’s biggest club competition.
Dubbed the traditional curtain-roller for the new season in Europe, Manchester City will face reigning UEFA Europa League champions Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on Thursday. Defending Premier League champions Man City will be without Kevin De Bruyne after the Belgian midfielder was sidelined for up to four months with a serious hamstring injury. Man City stars Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva were also absent from the squad, respectively, due to concussion and illness.
