Winning tickets to Saudi Arabia, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) superstar Neymar is said to have signed a lucrative deal with Al Hilal. The former UEFA Champions League winner is in talks with FC Barcelona for a blockbuster return to El Camp Nou ahead of the new season. Owned by Qatar Sports Investments, PSG has yet to confirm Neymar’s departure from the Parc des Princes.

Joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, Neymar is the latest celebrity player to join the cash-rich Saudi Pro League. According to the latest developments, Neymar will leave European football after Al Hilal agreed to a reported €90 million ($98 million) transfer fee with the Ligue 1 giants. Neymar has joined PSG on a deal. record transfer of 220 million euros ($241 million) from Barcelona in 2017.

How much will Neymar earn at Al Hilal?
Neymar, who led PSG to the 2020 UEFA Champions League final, underwent surgery on his right ankle in early March. The former Barca star only returned to Paris on a pre-season tour of Asia before Al-Hilal dragged him to the Gulf kingdom. One of Saudi Arabia’s top clubs, Al-Hilal had Neymar’s services for two seasons. The Brazilian star is expected to earn £138m a year at Al Hilal.
While PSG have decided to sell Neymar for 90 million euros, the Paris-based club already have a similar replacement available for the Brazilian superstar. PSG recently signed Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona before letting Neymar leave the French capital. It will be interesting to see which next-generation superstar will be tasked with replacing Neymar at PSG for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.
Who will replace Neymar at PSG?
Interestingly, Dembele is not the only leading candidate to replace Neymar at PSG. Based on La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG have Federico Chiesa in their sights as Ligue 1 is interested in cutting a value-for-money deal with Serie A giants Juventus. Italy’s most successful club, Serie A heavyweights Juventus failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Thus, Chiesa can join forces with Kylian Mbappe at PSG to participate in the Champions League. Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri has used Chiesa out of his preferred position. The Italian star still has 2 years left on his contract with Juve. According to a report, PSG could buy Chiesa for around 50 million euros (£43 million/$55 million).
