Actress Saiyami Kher Go back in time and recall how her grandmother used to give her ‘one hour’ love to superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
In the special episode, the stars of ‘ghost’ — Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher and R Balkiappeared on the set of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’ (KBC).
Quiz reality host Big B introduced filmmaker R Balki, Saiyami to the audience, then told his son and actor Abhishek, “I don’t know who he is.” Hearing this, the audience and Bachchan juniors burst into laughter.
Abhishek imitated Big B’s voice and said Big B’s famous line “Rishte me to ham tumhare…”, Big B said ‘aye…’ and they laughed together.
Featured dialogue “Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap late hai, Naam hai Shahenshah”, from Amitabh’s 1988 vigilante action film ‘Shahenshah’.
Big B later shared that he had worked on many films with Balki, adding, “I’ve never worked with Saiyami. But I have seen your work.” Amitabh again pointed towards Abhishek and said “inki to ham baat hi nahi karenge”.
He said that this is the first time both of you — Saiyami and Balki are on ‘KBC’. “How do you feel?” asked the actor.
Saiyami replied, “Amit ji, I’m nervous, because it’s my first time sitting in front of you, the camera is on, everyone is watching, but it was probably the most special day of my life.”
She then went on to narrate, “We’ve been watching KBC since our childhood days. My grandma from Rewa used to say ‘for 23 hours she will give you love and everything, but in an hour when KBC is on TV, all the love will be for Amit ji’.”
Pointing to the sky, Saiyami said, “wherever she is, wherever she is looking, today she will be a very proud grandmother.”
Big B responded to this and said, “Thank you very much Saiyami”.
Saiyami looked dapper in a black blazer with cut-out sleeves, matching pants and shoes. She completed the look with a choker necklace and curled her hair in a bun.
Saiyami then said that they had decided to donate the amount to the ‘Go Sports’ Foundation. She said the fund supports athletes with disabilities and Olympic athletes.
“They helped me a lot in ‘Ghoomer’. So I hope we reach Rs 7 billion and we can help them,” she added.
In ‘Ghoomer’, Saiyami plays an athlete with hemiplegia.
Written and directed by R Balki, the film stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role, with Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in key roles.
The story revolves around Anina (Saiyami), a young woman batting prodigy, who lost her right hand in an unfortunate accident the night before the international ticketing premiere. An unsympathetic, failed and frustrated cricketer comes into her life, gives her a new dream and changes her fate with the most creative training, leaving her to play for the cricket team again. India, as a pitcher.
‘Ghoomer’ is a new style of bowling that they invented to fool the opponent.
It is inspired by the incredible achievement of Karoly Takacs, the achievements of exceptional athletes and those who have achieved more than when they were called “ordinary”.
The film was released in cinemas.
