There have been rumblings that Prashanth Neel’s action thriller Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire has been pushed back from its current release date of September 28. Now, it has been confirmed that the pan-India film Prabhas’s has been postponed. Instead, two films – Mrigdeep Singh Lamba’s comedy Fukrey 3 and Ravi Teja’s pan-India action entertainer Tiger Nageswara Rao will hit the screens. (Also read: Is Salaar postponed? Salaar push
Leading film trade analyst Taran Adarshconfirmed on Friday night that Salaar has been pushed. While he did not give any reason behind the delay or any new release date, there are reports that the film will release in December. The production team has raised issues problem in completing the graphic work and is expected to be completed before September 28.
Fukrey 3 is ready
The third part of Mrigdeep Singh Lamba’s buddy comedy Fukrey has been pushed back from its scheduled release from December 1 to September 28, as Salaar is no longer releasing on that date. Fukrey 3 has had a journey of its own. The film was initially scheduled to release on September 7 on the occasion of Janmashtami, but was pushed to December 1 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan was pushed from June 3 to September 7 due to delays. of VFX.
Fukrey 3 was pushed to the crowded weekend of December 1 because of competition from Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur, starring Vicky Kaushal, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, also was pushed from August 11 to December 1, again due to delays. VFX.
Fukrey 3 is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. The film will see Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, Manjot Singh, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma reprise their roles from the series.
Tiger Nageswara Rao is prepared
Reports suggest that Ravi Teja’s first pan-India film, Tiger Nageswara Rao, has also been shifted to its Dussehra release date from October 20 to September 29. The Telugu action actress also stars starring Nupur Sanon in her pan-Indian debut, Anupam Kher, and Murli Sharma among others. Directed by Vamsee, Tiger Nageswara Rao is based on true rumours, set in the evocative backdrop of the 1970s.
Due to the postponement of Salaar, both Fukrey 3 and Tiger Nageswara Rao will have a long weekend due to the national holiday of Gandhi Jayanti on their first Monday, October 2.
