The TVS X borrows heavily from the 2018 Creon concept and retains the same design. Pre-orders for TVS X begin at midnight on August 24, while deliveries will begin from November onwards.
The new TVS X is based on the newly developed Xleton platform, which is said to be 2.5 times stiffer than conventional scooters. The X e-scooter is designed for a low center of gravity. This model features wide split seats for driver and passenger designed to maximize comfort. The e-scooter will have three riding modes – Xtealth, Xtride and Xonic. This model will also come with selectable regenerative braking.
The TVS X will have a 4.44 kWh battery pack with a range of 140 km (announced) on a single charge. The performance electric scooter features a mid-mounted motor with an 11 kW (14.7 hp) motor with a rated output of 7 kW (9.3 hp). This model can accelerate from 0-40 km / h in 2.6 seconds, while 0-60 km / h in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is rated at 105 km/h. TVS claims to have advanced thermal management with a RAM-loaded air-cooled engine. The company claims a 0-80 percent charge time of 3 hours and 40 minutes.
TVS X has a new generation SmartXonnect platform called NavPro which is developed in-house by the company. This model will have a 10.25-inch HD tilting screen that activates all the features of the electric vehicle. The infotainment system will be capable of operating multiple applications including navigation, games, music and more. The storage compartment under the seat has a decent capacity of 19 liters.
The electric vehicle will be equipped with TVS Smart Xhield, which offers a range of safety features including collision detection, speed limiter, overspeed warning, towing warning, geofencing, auto-lock, etc. etc. TVS X will feature live location sharing to update information about the driver’s loved ones in real time. The infotainment system will also be customizable.
The TVS X will have an aluminum alloy frame underneath with telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking performance will come from a single 220 mm front disc and a 195 mm rear single disc with single channel ABS. The e-scooter is equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels with 100/80 front tires and 110/80 rear tires. Ground clearance is at 175mm, while the seat height is 770mm.
